Audio Animals Ltd was founded in 2012 by cousins and engineers Paul Ashmore and Nick Burchall as the first 100% online mixing and mastering studio, home to a state-of-the-art complex featuring two purpose-built studios dedicated to both mixing and mastering.
With over 50,000 orders from clients around the world, Audio Animals has consistently grown year after year, becoming one of the industry’s most sought-after online mixing and mastering studios.
STUDIO A
Audio Animals Studio A is a state-of-the-art facility specialising in both stereo and Dolby Atmos mastering. It boasts one of the industry’s most coveted mastering chains, equipment with of the industries most sought after equipment, ensuring a level of precision and quality that sets it apart from the rest.
The pride of Studio A is the Ex Machina Dolby Atmos system, making it the first studio in the world to install Ex Machina’s flagship Arcturus speakers with Titan surrounds. Tuned to absolute precision using Trinnov room correction, this system delivers an audio experience unlike anything you’ve ever heard.
STUDIO B
Audio Animals Studio B is a cutting-edge analogue mixing and mastering facility, equipped for both stereo and Dolby Atmos. The studio features a meticulously calibrated 7.1.6 PMC speaker system, optimised with Trinnov room correction. Recognised as one of the finest Dolby Atmos studios you will ever see or hear.
Studio B is the world’s first mixing and mastering studio to feature a 100% fully digitally recallable analogue setup that includes a Solid State Logic Oracle console. With over 360 channels of analogue processing, the studio delivers a sonic experience that is truly unmatched. The sound produced in Studio B stands in a class of its own, offering a level of quality and precision that redefines industry standards.

Studio A a stereo and Dolby Atmos mastering studio, housing a state-of-the-art A-class mastering chain, and Studio B a 100% digitally recallable Dolby Atmos 7.1.6 mixing and mastering studio. Studio A is operated by Nick Burchall, the lead stereo mastering engineer at Audio Animals, while Studio B, the stereo and Dolby Atmos mixing and mastering studio, is managed by Paul Ashmore, the primary mixing and mastering engineer.
PAUL ASHMORE
Paul is the co-owner and lead mixing & mastering engineer at Audio Animals, with over two decades of experience working on projects for some of the world’s biggest artists and films. He has established himself as one of the industry’s go-to engineers across all genres.
The centrepiece of Paul’s mixing and mastering studio is his Solid State Logic Oracle console and 7.1.6 PMC Dolby Atmos speaker system. Paul operates within a fully three-dimensional mixing environment, utilising over 360 channels of analogue processing to achieve a sound quality unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.
NICK BURCHALL
Nick is the co-owner and lead mastering engineer at Audio Animals, bringing over two decades of experience in mastering for some of the world’s biggest artists and films. He has established himself as one of the industry’s top mastering engineers across all genres.
The pride of Nick’s mastering studio is his incredible mastering chain, featuring the legendary UnFairchild 670m mk2, Shadow Hills Optograph compressor, and Elysia Alpha compressor, three of the industry’s most coveted compressors. By utilising this high-quality equipment in his distinctive manner, Nick achieves a sound that is truly unparalleled.
